All Age Services- something for everyone!

As we approach the first of the All Age services for 2012, those of us who prepare them would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year, and to warmly invite you to come along to these family friendly, children conscious opportunities to worship in our beautiful old church building at Boxley, where you'll always find a welcome awaits you.

All Age services takes place on the second Sunday of each month. Everyone is welcome - families and individuals and, as it says in the title, of any age. We'd love to see you there. The service lasts about 45 minutes to an hour. Coffee squash and biscuits are served afterwards, so feel free to stay for a chat. If you'd like to meet the All Age team, just ask for Maureen, Jo or Sylvia – we'd be pleased to see you. Don't miss out, come along and give it a go!

Keeping in Touch

Boxley Parish covers a wide geographical area and as many of us only meet on
a Sunday, it is sometimes difficult to keep in touch with each other. The PCC
is exploring ways of improving communications in the church community and
is keen to ensure that our priests are aware of when people might need a home
visit or a phone call.

The parish can be split into 4/5 geographical areas and we will be asking a
number of you whether you would be willing to keep an eye on people who live
in your area.

The task of keeping an eye on other parishioners is a sensitive one because
not everybody wants to share their business with us - we don’t want to be
intrusive. If you would be willing to be a contact in your area, please speak to
the Vicar, to either of the churchwardens, or to Tim Wakelin who is preparing
a list of those who live in your area. Once we have the permission from
members of our church community to make their phone numbers available, we
will progress the matter further.

In the meantime our priests can as usual be contacted direct on the following
numbers:

Rev. Susan Hollins: 01622 600440
Rev. Elizabeth Attaway: 01622 762656
