Key events during the Christmas period
At Boxley Church
Monday, 12 December: a Daytime Carol Service - arrive around 10.30 am for coffee and biscuits (there's no charge), the service starts at 11.00 am. This relaxed and friendly service of readings and carols has been designed especially for anyone who prefers to go out in daylight hours.
Sunday, 18 December: A traditional Carol Service, 6.30 pm – with plenty of opportunity to join in and sing.
Friday, 23 December: a Crib Service, 3.00 pm - another very relaxed and friendly service, this time especially for children, together with their families and friends, and during which everyone will have the opportunity to take an active part by adding figures to a Nativity Scene. Why not go along and help them 'herd' the flock of knitted sheep!
Christmas Eve:
Midnight Mass, 11.30 pm
Christmas Day:
Sung Eucharist, 9.00 am.
At St. John's Church, Provender Way, Grove Green
Christmas Eve: A traditional Carol Service, 6.30 pm, followed by coffee and mince pies.
Christmas Day: Holy Communion, 10.30 am.
At Detling Church
Sunday, 18 December: Carols by Candlelight, 4.00 pm – a traditional carol service, followed by mulled wine and mince pies.
Please Note: The members of Detling Church very much regret that they are unable to offer 'Search for the Christ Child' this year, due to increased Health and Safety requirements and the current lack of suitable buildings in Detling village in which to perform. Thanks go to all those who have supported this popular event over many years.
Christmas Eve: Midnight Mass, 11.30 pm.
